I have never been particularly good at staying in one box.

I like difficult questions. I’m less convinced that life needs to feel difficult all the time.

Food waste is never only about food.
I study why food gets wasted, what interventions actually change, and why brilliant ideas sometimes look considerably less brilliant in the real world. My work moves through hospitals, hotels, supermarkets and the systems—and people—behind them.
What keeps me interested is usefulness: research that leaves the page, meets reality, and makes something easier, better or lighter for someone.
